05012024: had some thoughts while writing …

“God” is too simple

the idea of “God”/religion from early civilizations is a simple and crude way of trying to understand the world
as humans we want to make sense of things, before we had science we made up stories to explain everything (mythology, religion, constellations)
as a race we tell stories
it’s a fundamental aspect of human development, though, so it is not fully discreditable

but the idea of a “God” is too simple in a modern scientific lens
if there is “a” higher power, it simply could not be a single person no matter how powerful
there is an all-encompassing aspect of unification and togetherness….

02052024: i am here to revise yesterday’s journal…

i realize that my views of “God” stem from a judeo-christian/abrahamic viewpoint
although i have never been a part of any religion before, living in a western society has influenced my subconscious views on religion
i can’t really say anything about other or polytheistic religions, so i may be wrong about that
but i meant to say that i believe that if there is a higher power it is higher than our understanding

06052024: hello all--

did i ever say that i love the movie ‘children of the sea’? it is so so important to me and my ?values?beliefs?
i haven’t read the manga yet but i’m very interested in it.
anyways i also like shells a lot lot lot
i was looking at shells and thinking about children of the sea and it made me realize that pearls/oysters could be seen as a metaphor for birth
if that makes sense?
also i have been writing a lot and doing research because of that
i learned about lighthouses and i like fresnel lenses very much
they are very beautiful…

(also, i want to add some sort of ask box like in tumblr.. will figure out how sometime soon.)
